BOONE

The home of Appalachian State University and the county seat of Watauga County.  Boone is the center of commerce and finance in northwestern North Carolina.  In Watauga County you will find one of North Carolina's  most progressive public school systems.  All eight K-8 schools are ranked as Schools of Excellence, a claim to fame no other district in the state can match.
